Our Pledge
The faculty and staff at Downey High School are dedicated to creating and sustaining an academic and social environment that promotes student learning and success. To fulfill this mission, we promise to provide educational opportunities and the necessary support for students to become academically successful through a challenging, standards-driven curriculum. We promote the practical application of knowledge and guide students towards career paths that are integrated into the curriculum. To become productive members of a diverse society, we provide opportunities for students to build connections by actively promoting student involvement in extracurricular activities.
